+rooibos (rojo)

Rooibos Herbal Tea is used in our **rojo latte**. Rooibos tea is also known as red tea or red bush tea. It is made using leaves from a shrub called Aspalathus linearis. Traditional rooibos is created by fermenting the leaves, which turns them a red-brown color. It is Caffeine-free, low in tannins and rich in antioxidants offering a variety of health benefits.

+turmeric (Kurkuma)

Our Housemade turmeric extract is made by using fresh turmeric roots and used in our **kurkuma latte**. Turmeric is a flowering plant of the ginger family, Zingiberaceae. The plant is rhizomatous, herbaceous, and perennial, and is native to the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia, and requires temperatures between 20 and 30 °C (68 and 86 °F) and a considerable amount of annual rainfall to thrive.

+ginger (kurkuma, chai)

Our ginger extract is made by using fresh ginger roots and used in our **kurkuma, rojo `&` chai latte**. Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a flowering plant of family Zingiberaceae which is a herbaceous perennial which grows annual pseudostems (false stems made of the rolled bases of leaves) about a meter tall bearing narrow leaf blades. Ginger originated in the tropical rainforests from the Indian subcontinent to Southern Asia where ginger plants show considerable genetic variation.

+spices (chai, nights watch)

Our peppercorn extract is made by using black peppercorns drupes and used in our **charcoal latte**. Black Pepper comes from the flowering vine family of piperaceae cultivated as a fruite, dried `&` used as a spice. Pepper is native to South Asia `&` Southeast Asia, and has been known to Indian cooking since 2000 BCE. We brew our **chai latte** by grinding cardamom, clove `&` black pepper with loose leaf tea. *Cloves* come from the family Myrtaceae and native to the Maluku Islands (or Moluccas) in Indonesia. *Cardamom* comes from seeds of several plants in genera Elettaria `&` Amomum in the family Zingiberaceae. Both genera are native to Indian subcontinent `&` Indonesia. Also incorporated in **runners' high**.

+charcoal (nights watch)

Activated charcoal powder is used in crafting our **charcoal latte**. Activated charcoal has a porous surface which means it has millions of tiny pores that can capture, bind and remove unwanted materials. It has a negative electric charge that attracts positively charged toxins and gas, that can then be carried out of the body.
